Usability concern

Description

1) When a participant wants to enter an event-contingent response, is there a way to make that accessible on the phone’s home screen? Currently, it appears that one has to be in the “Opioid Study” home screen in order to press the “Pain Medication” icon. If the participant gets out of that screen for any reason, it may be confusing to them how to get back to be able to make an event-contingent entry.

We hope that these concerns can be addressed through a combination of the AirWatch system coupled with appropriate training materials (which we will provide relevant information for your team)

We will be utilizing the AirWatch system to limit participant access to the phones. In the event that they get out of the main applications, it will be the only on the display. The app launcher/menus will not be available for them to explore. Additionally, the phones we are exploring to send for this study don’t have invisible back buttons, which can be part of your instructions to the participants.
